Keolamauloa is a historic property in Paauilo Mauka on the Hamakua Coast, originally developed in the 1930’s as a coffee farm and a family-run general store. As a center of community life, Japanese movies were shown in the garage to neighbors and friends. The family home was the first in the area to have electricity and indoor plumbing. The strength and resourcefulness of this family have inspired those who followed. Even now, their children and grandchildren continue to return to the home to find rest and to remember.

The family run store, as it was then.

Formerly the coffee workers cottage, now the home of Keith, Sally & Kia’i.
