HISTORY

Keolamauloa is a historic property in Paauilo Mauka, originally developed in the 1930’s as a coffee farm. It is located at a cool elevation of 1800 feet, in an area surrounded by verdant pasturelands and old family homesteads… evidence of the community’s rich agricultural and cattle ranching history. As a center of community life, this property included a family-run general store, and Japanese movies were shown in the garage to neighbors and friends. The family home was the first in the area to have electricity and indoor plumbing. The strength and resourcefulness of this family have inspired those who followed. Even now, their children and grandchildren continue to return to the home to find rest and to remember.
